Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED)
Bachelor of Elementary Education program which aims to prepare aspiring educators who intend to teach in the elementary basic education level. Specifically, the program aims to develop highly competent teacher-researchers who specialize in elementary – general education content, pedagogy, and research. Using varied approaches in teaching and learning, students will be exposed to the appropriate approaches, techniques, and methodologies for teaching the Elementary subjects highlighting differentiate instruction and inclusive education in the K to 12 curriculum.
BEED Program Learning Objectives:
A graduate of BEED should be able to:
1.Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the diversity of learners in various learning areas;
2.Manifest meaningful and comprehensive pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of the different subject areas;
3.Utilize appropriate assessment and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes;
4.Manifest skills in communication, higher order thinking and use of tools and technology to accelerate learning and teaching;
5.Demonstrate positive attributes of a model teacher, both as an individual and as a professional;
6.Manifest a desire to continuously pursue personal and professional development.
7.To instill moral values and good work habits.

Specific Professions / Careers / Occupations for BEED graduates
Upon completion of the program, BEEd graduates are qualified to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and are eligible to teach in private and public basic education elementary schools.
Likewise, graduates are eligible to work in other education-related fields such as teaching and education research. Graduates of the program may also choose to pursue Master of Arts in Education or Master of Arts in Teaching as their graduate studies degree.
