Admission Criteria


CASA and Grade School Department (Apply Here)admission1
All new pupils entering Tomas del Rosario College, Casa and Grade School Department, will be given an assessment test which will be administered by the assigned teacher. Information gathered is used in assessing the school abilities of the students. At the discretion of the administration, pupils who do below average work, or was not able, to pass the standards for the desired level, may be moved in a lower level until the pupil is evaluated to be capable of joining his/her age level.

  2. Evaluation card / report card from his / her previous school
  3. Interview with the Principal / Department Head
  4. Medical report / history
  5. The alien certificate of registration if he / she an alien

Preschool Program

Tomas del Rosario College now offers a delightful experience for the following level:

  1. Toddler Level – below three years old
  2. Junior Casa 1 Level – at least three years old by July
  3. Junior Casa 2 Level – at least four years old by July
  4. Advanced Casa Level – at least five years old by July

TRC’s preschool uses an enjoyable learning program designed to provide your child with a good educational foundation upon which to build. Fundamental of reading and phonics, writing readiness as well as counting and numbers are taught at the different level.

Admission to Tomas del Rosario is opened to qualified elementary pupils who are of good moral character and have the potential to be of service to their fellowmen in terms of national development.

CLASSIFICATION OF TRANSFEREES

  • Freshmen Transferee – applies to applicant who waives on all subjects previously taken from other tertiary and/or vocational schools; repeats all subjects required in the curricular program in Tomas del Rosario College; starts as freshman.
  • Transferee with credits – applies to applicant with credit on subjects previously taken from other accredited/recognized tertiary schools.
  • Degree holder intending to pursue a second degree or take additional (supplemental) courses.

SCHOLARSHIP AND FINANCIAL ASSISSTANCE 

CRITERIA

(The grant shall be on a school year basis, renewable until the completion of the program of study.)

  1. Scholarship Program for Incoming Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Requirements:

  1. Form 138 (High School Card)
  2. Certificate of good moral character
  3. Certificate of honor – valedictorian & salutatorian in high school
  4. It should be the first time for the awardee to enroll in college.
  5. Valedictorian or salutatorian in a class composed of not less than 20 students.

Retention requirements:

  1. The scholar carries a normal subject load specified in the curriculum.
  2. Should have a weighted average of 1.75 with no grade lower than 2.00 in all academic subjects.
  3. Should not be involved in any serious disciplinary case.
  4. Should be an active supporter of school program.

Benefits:

  1. For valedictorian – 100% discount on tuition fee
  2. For salutatorian – 50% discount on tuition fee

Note:  Special discount of 30% on tuition fee is awarded to class topnotchers, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd honorable mentions.

  • Scholarship on Student Assistants

This scholarship program is intended for students who wish to continue their studies and at the same time, work as student assistants in various offices at TRC.

Requirements:

  1. Bonafide student
  2. Of good moral character
  3. Willing to work as student assistant in school offices no less than 4 hours a day.

Benefits:

  1. 100% discount on tuition fee
  2. Transportation allowance of Php. 400.00 a month

Retention requirements:

  1. No grade lower than 2.50 in all academic subjects
  2. Have not been subjected to any disciplinary action
  3. Should be an active supporter of school programs
  • Paaral sa Kababayan

This scholarship program is funded by the TRC Alumni Association and other benevolent persons who believe that education is formidable weapon against poverty.

Requirements:

  1. Average grade of 88
  2. Certificate of good moral character
  3. Certificate of indigency and/or Income tax return of the parents
  4. Assessment test result

Benefits:

  1. 100% discount on tuition fee

Retention requirement

  1. Average grade of 2.00 with no grade lower than 2.50.
  2. Have not been subjected to any disciplinary action
  3. Should be an active supporter of school programs
  • Loyalty Discounts

        Loyalty discount is given to graduates of TRC. 

Requirements

  1. TRC elementary and high school graduate - 100 % discount on tuition fee for first year at any course. 
  2. TRC high school graduate – 10 % discount on tuition fee for first year if enrolled in BSA, BSBA, Computer Science, BSN, HRM, & BEED.
  3. TRC college graduate – 40% discount on tuition for a year if enrolled in MA in Education.
